Hikes Near Seattle

Hello loves! I absolutely adore the outdoors. Nature is my true guide and I love spending time connecting with her. If you are interested in connecting with Earth, let me be your guide. I offer Nature Immersion in person and virtual in which you can experience merging with Earth with me as your guide.

Below are some of my favorite hikes/ nature walks in Washington. By clicking the hike link, it will take you to All Trails. Which is my favorite app for finding and recording all of my adventures. If you want to ensure you are ready for your hike, check out my blog on 7 ways to optimize your hike.

Moderate half day nature adventures (less than 500 feet of incline)

Redmond Watershed

Beautiful escape into nature with multiple small trails. This is a very easy trail to follow and does not have a lot of incline. Perfect for a family or solo stroll/ trail run. Dogs are not allowed but you will see the occasional horse! This forest is luscious and so alive!

Information- No pets allowed, No parking Fee, A big parking lot

Evans Creek Preserve
Located extremely close to Redmond this is a great nature walk! It does not have too much incline and there are two great parking lots. In the summer there are a lot of blackberries! Yum!

Information- Free parking, decent sized parking lot

Sammamish Lake Trail - Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond

I love this paved path around the lake. There are multiple spots to park but I would suggest parking at Sammamish Landing- 4607 E Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, Sammamish, WA 98074, United States. No incline but beautiful views of the lake and birds.

Info- Free to park, Paved path, Can be crowded in summer, restrooms

Moderate half day hikes (3-5 miles)

Heather Lake - Granite Falls

This is a beautiful trail! The road to the trailhead has a few bumps but nothing too terrible. I enjoy this hike in the summer and the winter. I always suggest having poles and microspikes with any winter hiking as you will probably encounter snow.

Distance- 5 miles Elevation- 1,195 feet

Information- No cell service, Discover pass required

Squak Mountain Fireplace Trail , Issaquah

Located in Bellevue, this short 4 mile hike is not too challenging but still has a little bit of incline. You hike up to an old fireplace!

Distance- 4 miles Elevation- 1,325 feet

Wallace Falls - Gold Bar, WA

Such a beautiful adventure! You need a discover pass to park here. A popular hike due to the amazing waterfall and river! Highway 2 often times has a lot of traffic in the evenings especially on Sundays so plan accordingly. This is a good hike for summer or winter as there is no snow on the path (currently 3/2021)

Information- Large parking lot with restrooms

Distance- 5 miles Elevation- 1,732 feet

Cherry Creek Falls - Duvall, WA

Hike to a magnificent waterfall! Parking is just on the side of the road so no pass required. In the summer, this hike can be very popular. Often times it is very muddy so make sure you bring proper shoes.

Distance- 5 miles Elevation- 500 feet

Harder hikes where you should prepare for all day/ pack water & food

Mount Washington - North Bend

A challenging hike with fabulous views of Mount Rainier in the summer. This hike is through a lot of streams, so make sure you wear waterproof shoes! I would suggest going on a clear day and bringing snacks to enjoy at the top!

Distance- 9.2 Miles Elevation- 3,280 feet

Lake Twenty Two - Granite Falls

One of my favorite lake hikes! This hike is not too challenging but the terrain can be loose so ensure you have proper footwear. This is a fun winter hike if you have proper gear (microspikes, poles, and warm clothes)

Distance- 5.7 miles Elevation- 1,466 feet

Information- large parking lot, no cell service

Blanca Lake - Gold Bar

A beautiful, challenging lake hike. This is a great hike for a long day trip or an overnight backpacking trip.

Distance- 7 miles Elevation Gain- 3,700

Thompson Lake, Snoqualime

Beautiful, long trail with pretty good total gain in elevation. The last mile to the lake is steep and down, so after relaxing or swimming in the lake, you have to climb straight up for awhile. Not too popular and very peaceful!

Distance- 11 miles Elevation gain- 4,000 feet
Information- Pass required, No cell service

I would love to adventure into the forest with you. Schedule a nature immersion and we can make this happen! Nature is our true healer. Go into the forest to connect back with yourself.
